Ancient Chinese devided one day into 12 Shicheng, and marked the Shicheng with 12 animal signs, called also as Chinese zodiac signs. They chose the animal signs to represent the different Shicheng according to certain characters of the animals.
Clock 23 - 01 corresponds Zi Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Rat.
Rats are most active at clock 23 - 01.
Clock 01 - 03 corresponds Chou Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Ox.
Oxen are awake and ruminate at clock 01-03.
Clock 03 - 05 corresponds Yin Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Tiger.
Tigers start to hunt at clock 03-05.
Clock 05 - 07 corresponds Mou Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Rabbit.
Rabbits wake and eat their breakfast at clock 05-07.
Clock 07 - 09 corresponds Chen Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Dragon.
Dragons start to work.
Clock 09 - 11 corresponds Si Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Snake.
Snakes are most active at the time.
Clock 11 - 13 corresponds Wu Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Horse.
The Yang of the day is strongest at the time. When Yang reached the maximal, Yin starts to increase. Horses represent Yin.
Clock 13 - 15 corresponds Wei Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Goat.
Goats eat most grass at the time.
Clock 15 - 17 correspondent Sheng Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Monkey.
When the sunset starts, the monkeys cry.
Clock 17 - 19 correspondent You Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Rooster;
The moon has risen and gets Yang from the sun. Roosters represent sun.
Clock 19 - 21 correspondent Xv Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Dog.
Dogs start their evening guards.
Clock 21 - 23 corresponds Hai Shicheng. The zodiac animal sign is Pig.
At the end of the day, the world comes into the rest state. Pigs represent the rest state.
Ancient Chinese think that each different time has different energy field. The activity regular of any animal is the reaction of the animal to the energy field of the nature.
